BLUE MAN GROUP BOSTON TO ENHANCE SHOW EXPERIENCE WITH ACTIVITIES THIS FEBRUARY SCHOOL VACATION WEEK
Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse will host 18 shows, including added weekday matinees at 1 pm and 4 pm, that are great for families and visitors to Boston.
Audiences can take their show experience to the next level when they “transform” themselves with free face painting or a “decorate a mask” craft activity that will be offered before select matinees. Youngsters can join the Blue Man tribe with glow paint that will illuminate in the theater. The “decorate a mask” craft will offer children the chance to show their Blue Man inspired creativity using various materials like glow-in-the-dark paint, feathers and more!
“We know that parents are looking for unique outings during school vacation week and wanted to extend our one-of-a-kind show experience further by offering activities that are inspired by the show,” said Jonathan Screnci, Blue Man Group Boston Resident General Manager. “Our cast and crew have so much fun this week getting involved in these activities and seeing our tribe extended into the audience with different face painting designs and new this year, the decorated masks, is truly something special.”
After all Blue Man Group performances, guests are invited to stay and meet members of Blue Man Group and take the ultimate selfie to add to their collection. Doors open one hour before each performance, and, in addition to the school vacation week special activities, there is also a full bar and interactive music and light installation created by Blue Man Group called the “Lounge-U-Lum.” Kids and parents can both enjoy creating sounds and light scapes with this instrument which was designed and inspired by the show.
Blue Man Group Boston has also partnered with local restaurants to offer free food specials and discounts.
More information about school vacation week activities and a list of special discounts offered by participating restaurants can be found at: https://www.blueman.com/boston/school-vacation-week. All activities are free for ticketholders.
